Updated Global Learning Agenda for the Hormonal IUD
mirena plain background_edited.jpg

In 2021, the Hormonal IUD Access Group members worked with governments and local stakeholders to update the global learning agenda for the hormonal IUD. This version builds on the original learning agenda created in 2015. Countries who are currently scaling up the method or are considering introduction can adapt and use this framework to identify and answer priority research and evaluation questions. Topics in the updated learning agenda include market potential; users’ and providers experiences; service delivery approaches; non-contraceptive attributes; cost-effectiveness; equity; and evaluating capacity for scale-up.
